Since its Still-Record-Holding August 07 Debut, Global Phenom “High School Musical 2” Has Reached 200 Million Viewers Worldwide, Including 53 Million in the U.S.

- Disney Channel’s streak as cable’s No. 1 network in Prime extended to 163 straight weeks in Kids 6-11 (829,000/3.4 rating) and to 159 weeks in Tweens 9-14 (747,000/3.1 rating), marking more than 3 full years that the network has dominated.
- Towering over its time period competition, in its 13th airing “High School Musical 2” (Friday, 8:00 – 9:55 p.m.) was the week’s No. 1 TV telecast in Kids 6-11 (1.7 million/6.8 rating) and cable’s No. 1 telecast in Tweens 9-14 (1.3 million/5.3 rating).
- In its time slot, “High School Musical 2” more than doubled closest competitor Nick in both target Kids 6-11 (104%, 1.7 million vs. 833,000) and Tween 9-14 (117%, 1.3 million vs. 598,000).
- Since its record-setting debut in August 07, which still ranks as cable’s No. 1 telecast of all-time, global phenomenon “High School Musical 2” has reached 200 million unique Viewers 2+ worldwide (199.7 million), including 53 million in the U.S. alone.
